Try to guess the Italian word of the day in 6 tries! The puzzle is played entirely in Italian — every day at 6:00 (Rome time) a new 5-letter Italian word is waiting, the same word for everyone. One word game a day, free, with no sign-up, from your phone or your computer.

La Parola del Giorno is built for the Italian language: accented vowels, double consonants and an entirely Italian vocabulary. If you love word games and you're after a daily 5-letter challenge, this is the right place to start.

Today's Italian word game brings a new word to guess: open it in your browser, make your tries and reveal the solution. An online word game, free, to play every day with your coffee or on your lunch break — the word of the day is waiting for you any time you like.

How do you play?

  1. Type a 5-letter word and press Enter. The tiles change color right away.
  2. Use the colors to sharpen your next try until you get it. The fewer tries, the better.

What do the colors mean?

After each try, the tiles change color to show you how close you are to the solution:

A C U T O

The letter A is in the word and in the right spot.

U N I C O

The letter I is in the word but in the wrong spot.

C I R C A

The letter C is not in the word.

The on-screen keyboard updates with these colors too, so you can see at a glance which letters you've already ruled out and which are still in play.
